On Humility

Proverbs 11:2 – When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but with the humble is wisdom.

What really is humility? Is it feeling guilty and ashamed of your true blessings, e.g. beauty, brilliance, talent, and other abilities? Is it being sorry for who you are? I really don’t think so. I think that it is, even with the knowledge of these things, still having a servant’s heart, and being of service to others.

I remember the New Testament incident where Jesus, knowing who He was, tied a towel around his waist, and washed His disciples’ feet.

It is therefore not abandoning who you are, or being sorry for who you are, feeling bad about being blessed, trying to hide it and show how unworthy you are. No!!!!!!!

In my view, just have a servant’s heart, and serve mankind with gladness, and you’ll be just fine!
