I’m so afraid of speaking in-front of people. What can I do to overcome this fear, because would want to become a TV news anchor when I grow up?
It is very good that you already know what you want to become when you grow up.
As for being afraid, it’s normal to be anxious and fearful in-front of crowds, many people are. But with good preparation of what you want to speak about, you’ll be okay.
Go over your preparation several times, practice in-front of a mirror, and in-front of your family and a group of friends. Listen to their encouragement and heed their good advice.
Also, watch your favorite speakers and see how they do it. Learn from them and from good books too. Most importantly, believe in yourself and say positive things to yourself, and think positive things about yourself too. This will go a long way in boosting your confidence within and without.
And finally, remember God has not given us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power, love and a sound mind. And guess what else? You can do all things through Christ who gives you the ability and strength.
Cheers, young lady!
